Fire
From candle mishaps, to electrical issues and lightning strikes, we make sure your dwelling and belongings can be properly replaced in the event of a fire.
A fire loss includes damages caused by smoke, soot, heat, the water used to extinguish the fire and the fire itself. In the case of a severe fire, the entire residence may be rendered uninhabitable. Our first step after you suffer loss from a fire is to evaluate the scope of loss and damage and have it properly photographed and documented. We will also examine your insurance policy to see how it applies to your situation.
We will make sure to assess any damaged property in a fire to see if can be repaired or if it is a total loss and will need to be replaced. In the instance of fire damage, it is often that many objects that should be written as a total loss are instead mistakenly given “repair authorizations”. We will make sure this doesn’t happen.
Smoke is also a secondary and lingering problem in the instance of fires. The pressure of indoor fires can pressurize smoke and surprisingly send it into remote areas of your home. Smoke can damage and lessen the life of electronics and mechanical equipment. We will assess this damage and the value of any damaged property.
